Renewable Heat Premium Payment
The £8 million Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) Community Scheme has been launched by DECC. It will support communities to deliver clusters of domestic renewable heating systems such as air and ground source heat pumps, solar hot water panels and biomass systems.
Applications opened July 24th and will run until September 7th.
The RHPP community scheme aims to provide communities with the opportunity to cost-effectively organise local buying groups for renewable heating systems, potentially accessing bulk discounts and facilitating easier deployment for installers. The scheme is targeted at off gas areas.
The Renew Wales programme, funded by BIG, is able to provide some free mentoring support to groups in Wales who wish to apply – please contact Robert Proctor, Project Director on robertproctor@renewwales.org.uk.
