Free Support to help reduce your energy bills.

Households who find it hard to heat their homes are being encouraged to apply to Nest, a Welsh Government scheme, which aims to make the least energy efficient homes warmer and cosier.

Ne...st is open to all householders in Wales, and provides advice on saving energy, money management, fuel tariffs, benefit entitlement and home improvements to help reduce the cost of energy bills.

In addition to advice, if you own or privately rent your home and receive a means tested benefit, you may also be eligible for free home improvements. These may include a new central heating boiler, loft insulation, cavity wall and solid wall insulation, draught proofing for doors and windows and green technology.

Over the past three years over 50,000 householders have received free advice and support and over 13,000 householders have received free home improvement measures and saved an average of £475 a year on their fuel costs.

Please contact Nest on Freephone 0808 808 2244 or www.nestwales.org.uk for advice on reducing fuel bills and to find out if you qualify for a package of energy improvements.

TESTTOWN POP UP FESTIVAL

TestTown is the UK’s biggest high street challenge. It gives innovative young people the chance to test out a business idea for real in town centre spaces. Over 400 young people aged 16-30 across the UK and Ireland entered TestTown 2014.... The five best ideas have been picked by a judging panel of business experts to come to Rhyl on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of June to showcase their business in pop-up spaces across the town centre.

All this summer, towns across the UK will hold their own TestTown Festival. At the end of each festival, the winning team will be given £500 and a place in the Grand Final in Cambridge this autumn. The champions of each TestTown heat will once again showcase their business with the overall winner walking away with £10,000 start-up funding.

Our young entrepreneurs are counting on you to make the festival a success. By coming along and interacting with these new businesses (and even buying their goods if you like them!) you can help to make this great experience come alive.
