Women Making a Difference - Engendering Change Summer Courses

For women who want to ‘make a difference’ in their communities and in public life in Wales

Following the success of our previous Engendering Change courses we are delighted to announce the dates and venue of a number of new courses to be held across Wales this summer.

This unique training programme gives women, particularly those women who are currently underrepresented in civic society because of race, religion, disability, sexuality or age the confidence and skills to take a more active role as leaders in their in their community as well as public and political life in Wales. Giving women a voice in the decision making process.

The training is FREE, a crèche is provided (or childcare costs covered) and transport and access costs reimbursed.

May 2011:
Young People’s Engendering Change, Mold, Flintshire
Four consecutive days : 31 May to 3 June (inclusive) between 9.00am - 4.00pm
For young people between the ages of 16 and 21, both male and female.

June 2011:
Engendering Change, The Lighthouse, Llanelli
Tuesdays, 9.30am – 3.00pm starting 7th June for five weeks.

Engendering Change, WEA Swansea
Wednesdays, 9.30am – 3.00pm starting 8th June for five weeks.

July / August 2011:
Engendering Change, Adamsdown Resource Centre, Cardiff
Saturday mornings, starting late July and running through the summer holidays.

Closing dates apply and are usually two weeks before the start date of each course. Places are limited - there will be a maximum of 20 on each of the training courses - so it is recommended that places are booked early.
